Gossip eh? So it must be true! IMO it runs at least as well if not better than XP on the same hardware, especially with many large apps open. If you want the full Aero eye candy, you will obviously need at least a midrange graphics card. Yes, 1GB RAM is a minimum, but it is for XP as well in all honesty. If I was buying a new system with a preinstalled OS (and it had to be Microsoft) I would go for Vista over XP.
