I second that. I find the list a friendly place and it is interesting to hear of other people's lives, interests, background, jobs and different ways of doing things - such as Gil and his chainsaw <g>. I also found it very helpful when I needed information of a personal nature that could be best given by someone based in the US. What I am not interested in is people's political opinions and the like as they invariably clash with someone else's and lead to acrimony - I can get that off list! I'm sure most of you wouldn't be interested in hearing me rant about the over-bearing, unelected EU.
