This works with shortcuts too. I like to reserve my desktop for
documents, so whenever an application installer poops its shortcut
onto my desktop I change the name to a terse abbreviation (ie vfp) and
stow it in a directory in %path%. That way my apps are a <windows logo
key>+R away and I don't have to go hunting through the start menu.
