Hi Pete I think I will not go hd. I suspect they will put them out at the same price to get people to buy hd/blue ray disks then pull the same con as CD to cassette and put the price up even though its cheaper to make CD's. grumble grumble. As I have a large stock of normal films and series and several DVD players so I will not be going hd for some time either. DVD's are good enough for most films anyway. Unless they pack the normal DVD with the hd I will not bother. Allen

It seems that the new players will play anything you have already and whatever new format they are for. The new disks, however, seem to only work on the new machines. There is one on the list that supports both new formats but it is $1200. Personally, I still have the old stuff. I will get new stuff when they settle on a format, or when what I have breaks or when jihad is over. No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
