Sytze,
The valid will fire only when the combobox loses focus or when an entry is
selected from the dropdown list. If you want to validate the data as you
enter it then you need to use the "interactivechange" event and process the
keystrokes as you get them. If you intercept the "TAB" or "ENTER" keys then
you can then do the validation.

As a matter of interest what do you need to do that you can't do with the
Lostfocus() or Interactivechange() events?

It must be something I'm doing (wrong)

I have a combobox
ControlSource=Local variable (Blank char 15)
Rowsource=Winsupps (standalone table of suppliers)
It seems to me the WHEN method fires fine (I tried a Wait window
nowait "Testing 123"
But it seems the VALID method is not working

The drop down works fine bit if I type rubbish in there, the VALID
method does noting

What's wrong ?
