27MB RTF - but saved from what application ? The crux of the mater is this: 1. OO can open the 9MB RTF created by Word 2003 and save an RTF of ca 180 KB 2, MS Word can open the 180 KB RTF created by OO but will save it as a 9 MB RTF This looks extrmely fishy to me !! It's almost as if Word is deliberately (no surely not !!!) creating massively bloated RTFs ....
