I understand this, and I am sticking and staying with the fact that one cannot 
decide without more
knowledge.

I think the better question would be this: Based on the known requirements I 
have an application
that would be served well today by Visual FoxPro 9, but I am considering 
alternative development
tools and languages. What would others recommend for an application that the 
company is planning on
using for the next 10 years?

Of course, you might search the list's archives before asking this question. 
Look for "alternatives"
and I think you will find long threads on several occasions since March 2007. 
It might help you
formulate good follow up questions.

There are still questions unanswered unfortunately. Will you need resources for 
this project? If so,
do you have them tapped? If not, do you know where you plan to get them?

Do you have the training budget I asked about previously?
