We are looking for a general-purpose database application environment. Let's just agree that a requirement for a general-purpose tool is that it will be as general as possible, shall we? So 90% of the contenders are struck at the get-go. That's pretty good, right? Now we don't need to get waylayed by options that aren't multi-platform. > You do know the difference between functional requirements and business > ones? Functional are the How you are expected to do something and the > business is the Why your doing this in the first place. For any given business problem, there are going to be any number of specific functional solutions. But that isn't what we are talking about here, ever since the terms got rephrased (by the original poster) to be about finding and learning the best general-purpose environment. I definitely see EGO here, by the way. -- Paul _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
