IMO, if VFP can handle the specs for this project, go ahead and use it. A lot of new stuff is going to come along in 10 years, and I just don't think that now is a good time to change horses. Give it 5 more years and then see what the lay of the land looks like. If you must, for whatever reason, recommend a different dev environment, that is has been decided that VFP cannot be part of the picture, I see these options as the safest bets: IBM's DB2 and SAP. Footnote to Ed and Paul: DB2 has an API for Phython. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_DB2 Bill > Nick > _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
