Michael - it's setup primarily as a portal for 'friends' , thrown across computers, cell phones, and pda's.
There are business processes that fit well into using their API's, but thats more along the lines of 'private portals' for business usage. You could surely make a solid business case for inclusion inside of a business if there were a large number of outside 'workers' who are remote or out in the field. FWIW, these types of portals are HUGE EVERYWHERE but North America and the cell phone is the primary mode of 'input', as the workers are outside doing things away from the office, 90 percent of the work time. As for it's social interaction among 'friends' - I think it's a waste of time, but there are folk younger than us that would use it on a regular basis - the cell phone interface is quite lean compared to the 'myspace cell phone interface' . If you are thinking to adopt it for your remote workers, or mobile sales force, take a hard look at 1) their API and 2) private portal setups. Now, you wanna get fancy ? Encapsulate the Twitter API with VFP, and use it to broadcast msgs to those on yer private portal . The API is similar to Jabber, so if you want a rock solid VFP developer to work on it, I'd suggest you engage Martin Jindra over at http://gorila.netlab.cz/aboutme.html Mondo Regards [Bill] -- William Sanders / efGroup {rmv the DOT BOB to reply} Mondo Cool TeleCom -> http://www.efgroup.net/efgcog.html Mondo Cool WebHosting -> http://www.efgroup.net/efglunar.html Mondo Cool DSL -> http://www.efgroup.net/shopfordsl.html VFP Webhosting?
