        When all you're used to is drive letters, all you can imagine is  
drive letters.

        The rest of the world (i.e., the world beyond Microsoft) uses mount  
points. We don't care that /var is a directory on the boot drive, or a  
secondary drive, or a remote mounted NFS drive; it's just /var, and we  
deal with it like any other location on the file system.
