Funny enough, no :-) But that's not what's happening here. > And second, tell those cheapskate managers that if they guy is worth having > around, they should pay him what he is worth, not what they think they can > get away with... which is the usual case wherever you happen to be. He was already living in the UK with his wife for ~5 years. They split and and he lost his visa. The problem is he's been in Brazil since early Jan. We're not a big team (4-5 developers and an accountant) and simply can't afford to pay someone to sit at home. Even if he can do some work it's limited. I think most places would have dropped him by now. The options as far as I can see are: Sack him. Pay him on a project basis. Pay him a lower wage. -- Paul _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
