Through some interesting circumstances, my Dearest One and I got to
"fly" one of these in a simulator for an hour or so. Fun, but
incredibly easy. I got to take off from St. Paul/Minneapolis and Land
at Boston's Logan. Landing was a bit harder -- keeping it heading
right for the runway, especially with a cross-wind. I was looking for
something hard to do, and I thought landing on an island would be
harder. Nope. Obviously there is more to it, but it was unbelievable
just how simple it was. I don't see how pilots stay awake on long
flights. Maybe they practice the "two guy flying in a single seater"
maneuver! <g>

The DO had a bit of a hard time landing -- she took us on a wild ride
through the fields between the runways.

Without telling me, the trainer made me lose an engine -- actually
had it fall off. I felt a bit of a bump, and it was a tiny bit hard
to keep the craft level. He put it into Fighter Plane mode and flew
at Mach 1 for a while, just to get across country faster.

The whole experience was pretty fun.
