Another 7zip vote from me. Supports everything I care about. > Available even on Windows, most conveniently via cygwin, which brings a > whole host of Linux tools and the bash command shell to the Windows > desktop (makes working on that platform almost bearable). :) > > http://www.cygwin.com/ I use Cygwin for a bunch of stuff. I have C cross compilers for: Sega Dreamcast (SH4), PocketPC, 6809 & 680x0 (Amiga). I like playing with old platforms :-) Technically these are not Linux tools (Linux is just a kernel), but rather GNU tools. I just can't 'get' Visual Studio. I much prefer the editor of my choice (Scite - recommended by someone here!) and a makefile. Does the job perfectly. -- Paul _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
