Processmon monitors all file and registry access. Great for watching what a program does when it's installing or executing. I have been trying to install a Palm PDA on a machine running XP as a part of a domain. There is apparently something the installation needs to do that prevents it from working unless the user has administrative privileges. Does anyone know of software that can monitor, interpret and report all the system calls done by another program? I would love to have something like this in my bag of tricks. If I monitor the Palm installation I expect there will be a directory or an area in the registry where the program unsuccessfully attempts to create or modify information. This information should help me solve my current problem and be very useful for troubleshooting other system problems.
