I don't really know, and IDEs and CLIs aren't mutually exclusive, either. It probably depends on what sampling of 'people' you take. Ask a group of Visual Studio or Java developers, and I'll bet you'll get near 100% preference for IDEs. Ask the same question of a group of Python developers, and it may well dip to 50%.
