Used seek for many years, IMO it's alot more convenient than the old DOS Days... select, set order to, if seek... end if Just did some nosing around and found seek() in Foxpro for Windows... As I remember, in that version you had to insure that the appropriate order was previously set to search the desired work area... hth, Desmond
