Hi Michael! Hah! The greenies around here succeeded in banning the old style oil-based paving asphalt. The old stuff lasted 20 years but it leached a little oil into the ground. Now they repave every other year but the oil in the material has been replaced with a water emulsion, good - well, isn't it?
