I have to parse the vin number so I can pull make, model, body style and year.
I think I can do this fairly quickly. I'm writing a power search utility
using Google's mapping for the front end, then I'll let the investigators
pick a radius for the search. Here's an example of how this will work - last
fall we had some sex pervert trying to abduct kids from an elementary
school. The officers got a vehicle description for make, model and year. If
we had had this tool we would have been able to plug those parameters in and
pull all matches within a selected radius, then check for matches in the sex
offender database. The first priority though, is to get the garbage out of
the mvr table.

So you just need to get mfg straight or do you need make / model and have
them consistent to a Dropdown list level?
