        Do you ever have anyone proof-read your writing before it goes out to  
publishing?

        Bouncing a malformed message back is one way of saying "You need to  
fix this before it gets published". It is not twitting, which would  
mean silently disposing of it. The author can then correct their  
mistake, if indeed it was an honest mistake, or, in the case of the  
inconsiderate few who do this on a regular basis, can decide that it  
isn't worth the effort to fix it. It's up to them.
