It's not hard to understand. Games with killing as sport and the big one,
teachers, government officials, news media all telling them that it's OK to
throw away a human life if it's inconvenient... combined with a hostility to
anything with even a hint of intelligent design... all dropped into a culture
of self indulgence.
Ed's right, though in the sense that there has been a deterioration from one
generation to the next, and by comparison, each was worse than the one before
since the greatest generation, but how much further down can we afford to go?
Check out an old Alan Arkin movie called "Little Murders" and see how much fun
it could be.
