That's a typical leftist response.  I grew up in rural PA and guns were all 
over the place.  Nobody even thought of going out and random killing people.  
It's the culture.  If you really want to get picky, it was much easier to get 
guns back when I was young than it is now.  We just had more common sense and 
respect.  That's culture Ed.  Gun laws won't make a bit of difference.

One more thing, to compare young thugs to the mobs is a false arguement.  Not 
to defend them in any way, but a mob hit is business, not for fun or kicks.  So 
many kids have no core values, if they did, having guns available would not be 
an issue.
