My prayers are with you through this difficult time; this reminds me when my father had a massive heart followed by a stroke a few years back -- it was a difficult time...I do understand.

She is 70. My two brothers and I are leaving in the morning to go to the hospital to see her, and to see if there's anything we can do for our stepfather Ray. Mom and I have had a sometimes volatile relationship over the years, but last year I had told her that I was done being angry with her. I just didn't want to keep all that inside me whether there was a reason for it or not. Doesn't matter. Tonight is a rough night. I am intensely sad. At least we've been talking a lot in the last few months, and I'm really glad for that.
