Sorry to hear of your loss Kris. I found it helpful to dwell on the good
times after my dad died. My dad has been gone for about 5 years now. I think
of him a lot. It was strange, right after his death, I'd be thinking about
something and have a notion to call him to bounce it off him, then it would
come back to me that he wasn't there anymore. I was blessed to have my dad
for my hero though. I loved him and he loved me, and we knew each other
would do anything for the other. I was glad he died in his sleep and didn't
wind up in a nursing home or worse. He had congestive heart failure, but he
still wore out 3 pacemakers before dying at the age of 76.

I hope you had as good a relationship with your mom.
