Here's what I've done, for like 5 years now. No viruses: 1) Install a Linux host. I recommend Ubuntu. http://ubuntu.org. 2) Install Windows XP inside a virtual machine on that host. I recommend VMWare. You can pay for it or do it for free using the open source versions. 3) Disable or remove Microsoft Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, and Office. 4) Install Mozilla Firefox, Thunderbird, and OpenOffice. These already exist on your Ubuntu install; installing them on Windows gives you a similar experience on both platforms. 5) Gradually migrate to using the Linux desktop. At first, most things you do will be on the Windows guest. But later on, perhaps only VFP development will still be happening in Windows.
