That's a HUGE impediment. Particularly since it's from MSFT, there's so much distrust about putting something from them on your machine. (It suddenly becomes THEIR machine....) I was going to try the site you mentioned a few days ago, but when the page said I had to install something from MSFT, and that it might not work anyway... well, the hell with that. And this first impression is so bad that it'll be a long, long time before I devote resources to thinking about it again. The way I look at it, a site requiring me to use silverlight is in the same category as requiring me to use IE. I'll write the CEO of their company and tell them I'm taking my business elsewhere, and let it trickle down to the guys in the trenches. It may be a good (or even a great) technology, but as the saying goes, fool me once... Or, perhaps more accurately, "Honest, honey, just because I've been beating you for the last ten years, I won't do it again. Now, please let me back in the house." <pause> "IF YOU DON'T LET ME IN, I"LL BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF YOU..." Yeah, I'll trust MSFT. Sorry.
