"There is no train on the route—Amtrak's Desert Wind between Los Angeles and Las Vegas was canceled in 1997 because of low ridership. "
So what, now there's going to be ridership after 10 years? How silly is this? Las Vegas to LA is an easy 4-hour drive. Why would I pay hundreds of dollars for a train ride that takes 2 hours? And I don't understand how they're calculating the time. IF I drive at 65 mph, I get there in 4 hours. IF I take a 300-mph train I get there in " well under 2 hours" ? Shouldn't it be like 48 minutes or an hour tops due to speeding up and slowing down? http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D914R5LG1&show_article=1 ************************************************************************ Big Brown Wins The Preakness Stakes http://www.cafepress.com/rightwingmike/5591998 I Wish Hillary had married OJ http://www.cafepress.com/rightwingmike/4236924 _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
