I just provided concrete evidence that the *majority party in Congress*
seriously intends to nationalize oil refineries in this country, and you act
like nothing happened and the idea is just one of those silly things that
politicians say.

That's what's, on some abstract level, scary--when you factor in the
likelihood that they'll have a president next year who's totally on board
with such backward "failed policies of the past" borrowed from the early
1900's. (So much for new ideas.)

I am not full of fear; just sad. It's like watching a train wreck in slow
motion.

I guess a healthier reaction would be to just get the popcorn out and find
amusement in it all. I try it from time to time but I care too much, I
guess, to be such a sideline observer of a tragedy.
