The state is quick to convict, but very, very slow to admit a mistake 
and administer true justice.  I believe that the state has even executed 
some people know to be innocent beyond any doubt, rather than admit a 
mistake and stop the execution.  Once the process starts, it's almost 
impossible to stop.  Life in prison should provided punishment enough, 
and remove the convict from society.  That just my 2 cents.
