Having some experience wth Godaddy recently, My experience has been great. If you just need ftp, registar a domain with them, and you get a basic website (ftp included ) as part of their fee ... at what 9.00 $ per year..
just my 2c.,. Bob Lee I am in need to set up an FTP server for a client. We need it to be secure. It is so that one client can send collection data to him. It will be only used by one client. 1. Should I host it on a local computer or should I host it on a site such as godaddy? 2. If I host it locally, what ftp server software would you recommend. We are using windows XP on all machines, even the server. 3. What are the pitfalls of setting up FTP? 4. Does this make me any more vulnerable to hacker attack? --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
