My opinion is based on the versus given by Jesus/God himself, which were
provided by Stephen in his link today.

People tend to hear what they want to hear, see what the want to see, or
they are to busy with themselves to get involved with trying to
understand anyone or anything else, (eg their heart's aren't in it, or
their hearts have become hardened and can't receive it). The result is
that even some in the Christian community have it wrong, and are passing
their misunderstandings along to others, because they simple don't
understand.

In the sense that Jesus/God's word may not be truly received, either
audible or visually seem like a bug to me, (eg errors can occur).

13: This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not
see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

14: With them indeed is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah which says:
`You shall indeed hear but never understand, and you shall indeed see
but never perceive.

15: For this people's heart has grown dull, and their ears are heavy of
hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should perceive with
their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart,
and turn for me to heal them.'
