Hi Jean! If it becomes undetectable over a series of tests at wide intervals. Yes, killing them means they don't have aids any more, but it is far more humane to let them live in quarantine. No worse than being in the army or on an Indian reservation, for heaven's sake. If you kill them you cut them off of any potential benefit of the outside chance that a cure would be found, fat chance there is of it.
