I sincerely wish I could understand why you're so certain the change he's promising is the change you're going to get. We are entering a period of rapid political destabilization, and throwing the government hard to the far left is only going to invite whip-lash-style upheaval all around the world. The cast of characters behind Obama is a terrifying who's-who of the far, far fringes of the radical left. I could understand giving a relatively inexperienced person the Presidency if a.) they would pass a basic clearance administered by the FBI; and b.) there were some checks on his/her power, but this "unknown quantity" is likely going to have a supermajority in the Congress, led by people who are even more ideologically rigid than he is (well, I'm guessing about that; like you say, time will tell). Moreover, Barney Frank and Maxine Waters' comments that Fannie/Freddie were fundamentally sound and their efforts to vilify Republicans for wanting to regulate the bad accounting and lending practices and blocking that effort entirely led directly to the collapse of these institutions, and their collapse has endangered the whole economy, just like the Republicans and Greenspan warned in 2005. These people will have unlimited power to run everything, including your 401k and health care, just like they did Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac. Franklin Raines made $90 mil. running Fannie Mae into the ground, and is now an economic advisor to Obama. How pray tell does any of this give you confidence in Obama's judgment, or the direction he, Pelosi, Reid, Frank and Waters et al. are going to take the country in??? I really want to understand your perspective; it makes no sense to me. - Bob > Kristyne McDaniel > http://www.kristynemcdaniel.com/blog > http://www.emryldadvantage.com/ > http://www.mcstyles.com/ > > Whether you think you can, or you think you can't.... you are right. > -- Henry Ford _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
