I was wondering about that (network connected). The brother A3 multiple use has Ethernet and wifi as well as usb. If its set up as Ethernet, does that mean I can print and fax and scan from my win2k3 server if I don't have other pc's on. ? 2k3 seems to have a big problem yes. 2008 also has the same problem I think so upgrading wont help. I would be happy with print only from the 2k3 but scanning would benefit if I need to fax. Then again I guess these multi machine have fax built in so that's not really an issue either. Al
-----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ted Roche I've had a lot of luck with the office-grade HP OfficeJets: print, scan, fax, memory card reader, and self-serve front panel for direct print from memory card. With a network interface (and I like duplex, too), it doesn't need to depend on another machine (especially W2K3!) to offer its services over the network. The W2K3 machine could be just another client. MSFT and HP drivers for Windows in general tend to be pretty good; does W2K3 present more difficulty than most? -- _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
