Some of us know that we abandoned our passenger rail system in favor of
highways and airlines when we should not have done so. Rail travel is far
and away the least expensive in terms of fossil fuel use. I would love to
see a resurgence of rail traffic between the various cities in the US, and
the same kind of week or month long rail passes for us to see America from
the rails.

It is too bad we essentially abandoned and in large part dismantled our rail
systems. I'd love to see new investments in rail all across America.
