Michael,

Stop spreading the lies about Canada having socialized medicine!! We pay for
all health services. It's just that the government collects our money and
pays the doctors. In the U.S. for profit companies charge for health
services and limit the doctors you can visit.

Your depressed friend should get another opinion. Did she try CAMH - Centre
for Addition and Mental Health. See http://www.camh.net/. It's located in
Toronto. The number is (416) 535-8501. I've referred a couple of people to
CAMH and they were assessed quickly and appointments set up very fast.

Sure, if you have loads of money, you can do anything in health services.
How many of us have that kind of money? Do you?

My grandson cost $16,000 to be delivered in the U.S. seven years ago. In
Canada, his parents wouldn't have seen the bill.

Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto is a world renowned hospital. Princess
Margaret Hospital is one of the top five cancer hospitals in the world. Both
of these are funded through the money we pay for health services.

So stop already about Canada being a hot bed of socialized medicine. Get
your facts straight or cease and desist.
