Human rights are just that - rights. They are not 'given' in return for
something but rather exist by default. Like most of us the USA likes to
claim the high moral ground. Although it is disappointing to have to explain
this concept, but if you want to claim the high moral ground then you have
to walk along its paths.

Which provision did the US break, and does it even apply, considering 
that the enemy is not a signatory? What is humane?
