Rails is a full blown extension to Ruby that sets up what you "need"
for your application is created on the front end.  It comprehends the
need for dev, test, stage and prod systems.  That Unit Testing is a
requirement in building your app.

It can define your db storage in it's classes for you.

It is much lighter then .NET  ever thought of being, or Java.
