I guess my main problem is in the speed it runs VFP. XP Pro Dell 8200 Desktop P4 2.4GHz, 512M RAM from 2002 has a FoxBench score of 476
64bit Vista Home Premium Dell Studio 17 laptop, Intel Core 2 Duo P8400, 2.2GHz, 4G RAM, 1066Mhz, 3M L2 Cache has a FoxBench score of 348. 27% slower on a new machine compared to a machine that I've been beating up for 6 years? Sure there's the laptop vs desktop thing and the speed of the HD might be a factor (haven't checked really) but it really surprised me, and yes, I'm a little pissed off about it. I'm going to try turning off Aero and see if that helps with the benchmark scores. -Kevin CULLY Technologies, LLC Stephen Russell wrote: > I read a lot of statements that Vista sucks here and it put me off in > trying it.
