> BYTW, I am 54 perhaps too much to change way ... > Hey, pal, I am also 54, and I am not all that challenged in learning new things <g>. heh-heh... For me moving away from VFP is difficult because the apps I created using it are so rock solid in terms of ease of support and enhancement, performance and stability. It just does not make sense for me to recode using another solution or OS. My clients are all required to use Windows PCs by their manufacturers (car dealerships), so I am stuck with Windows. Except for File Server or PostGreSQL Database Server platforms. Then I can use Ubuntu Server (or whatever Linux) to my heart's content - and I have been doing so in a carefully planned movement when I add more Servers to my location. I would LOVE to dive into Dabo, but until a new app has to be developed I have little incentive to do so except to get into the minds of its developers a bit (in Ed's case I already know what a scary proposition THAT is <G>).
Seriously, I applaud you (also) for hanging in there with FPD. I always found it to be rock solid also. But all of my FPD and FPW apps have been ported to VFP long ago, what few there were.
