Hey - I feel your pain!

I too am still doing work in "FoxPro for DOS" - although I put that in
quotes since the work is actually done in VFP - even though almost all
of the programs are all PRG based (including screens) and have largely
not changed since the FPD days! This co. creates SW for the Apparel
Industry - and many of their customers still have the systems dating
back to the FPD days - and prior - back to the FoxBase+ days. And, many
of them have customized systems - making it hard to upgrade them to
"True" Windows based systems.

As it is, there's a new request to upgrade a particular program - for
EDI transastions - and I'm looking to work on it. However, I asked about
changing it to a true Windows screen - and my boss was hesitant - as the
customers may be too shocked to have a completely different type of
screen show up in the system. So, on Wed. I actually experimented with
creating a screen that LOOKS like the old DOS screens (blue screens with
white text & blue/green text edit fields) - and succeeded in making a
screen that looks a LOT like the old screens - yet I created it with a
Form and did drag&drop via Data Environment. So, will have to see how
this progresses.
