I tried taking out my antivirus but it is occurring to a number of other clients - it isn't just me.

This might cause this behavior. Tracy -----Original Message----- From: Geoff Flight Sent: Thursday, January 08, 2009 5:50 PM Guys, I have a weird one I cant seem to solve. My VFP app uses ftp to download files and has been running fine for several years and all of a sudden it is timing out on large downloads (eg 16Mb). The problem also occurs outside of my app using normal FTP. It is only failing on large files not those under about 10Mb. I can find no problems anywhere. Teh server is Win 2003 and has been rebooted, The router has been rebooted. It is happening to a variety of users not just one. The downloads get to the last 2kb and times out. The irony is that the users on VISTA are not having problems - just thos on XP. Ive tried it on SP3 and SP2 with no differences. Ive also tried different FTP server software with no differences. And it is ALWAYS failing when trying to finish the download - the last 2Kb or so. Most times (not all) the FTP server reports that the entire file has been sent but fails to arrive at the client end. Does anyone have ANY idea what is going on? Im loathe to split my files into smaller parts because A) it has been working for 3+ years as is and B) whatever the problem is wil eventually affect smaller files Im sure. Help!
