Take off your VFP blinders and use peripheral vision. XML has been around for about 12 years or so. If it sucked it would not be used as widely today as it is. It is used because it is a great container for data. I'll call it a temporary container vs Paul's storage. Within a single container you can add many other containers so concepts like flexible are virtues that we all like. Secondly because it is a markup your at the lowest common denominator for crossing boundaries within your app or across the globe. Lastly it is queryable and that is very important to many of us. I just sent you a request in xml and you replied back to me the answer.
