Not only is your lack of knowledge of economic issues obscene but you also don't understand business. These bankers and wall street firms took advantage of the rules over the past 10 years and yes they were greedy. But I doubt they did anything illegal. If I hire someone to manage my money I want them to be as ruthless as the law allows to make money for me. They are doing what they were hired to do. Greenspan was totally surprised that these sharks turned out to do what they did. He thought they would be nice guys and do the right thing for all of us. He was a fool.
Same thing with a lawyer. If my butt is on the line, I want the most ruthless lawyer I can afford to defend me. Especially if the government claims I did something wrong. Congress is to blame for allowing all these events to occur. We had a good system going. Laws were put in place during the 1930's to prevent what we just have experienced. Now the Liberal Congress is going ga-ga and trying to scare everyone into capitulation so they can tell us how to run our business. Some examples are the broadcast fairness laws the liberals want to put back in place. This is an assault on our freedom to listen to the radio stations we want uncontrolled by anyone in Congress. Another is an amendment to the current Recovery Act allowing illegal immigrants to draw benefits. Illegal immigrants are already taking $4B from Los Angeles alone.
