Pete,
Sorry if I was a bit harsh and I apologise if my comments came over that
way. As I say there is as much help out there as you need but I really do
think you need to get a little more basic grounding in concepts etc. before
you embark on larger projects.

Walk before you can run and all that. Then ask for information which you
will be able not only to understand but use constructively.

Anyway, best of luck and if I can be of any help than just ask. I certainly
don't want to ignore you as I value your sensible comments as much as
anyone's and after all we all can't be masters of everything can we.

Matter now closed.

OK, maybe you missed it, it was a long time ago. I have been working on
a 501 (c) (3) project for 15 years. About halfway into the 15 years The
Great Satan threatened to sue/prosecute us over what they said was a
violation of something or other and then offered to make it all go away
for only $40K. At that time we had about ten bucks.

You could say I over-reacted, but I converted the whole project - some
fifty boxes, most were running Window$ 3.11 - to one or the other flavor
of Linux. We haven't gotten back to where we were with FoxPro on Win 95.
but I am still optimistic. If still optimistic is annoying, I do apologize.

I don't remember saying the new world is full of "crap". I thought I was
trying to find files and directories to get the system started but that
the other guys didn't want to entertain the question. If I did say
"crap" I apologize for that as well.
