Not that long before my little foray into the middle of the brewing storm.
I am kind of glad I missed that part of the computer revolution.  It was bad
enough I though having double-density 5 1/4" floppy disks were really the
hot ticket.  My first hard drive was a 10Mg Qubie unit, could hold the
equivalent of 30 of my floppies!  Woo Hoo!  I would never run out of room!
Luckily it was given to me as a kind of gift (in exchange for some work I
did).  My first 1Gb HDD was $800.00, about 1994-1995 or so.  Price dropped
to $400 within 30 days.  Grrr...
