Jeff: I have been buying Lenovo (AKA IBM Thinkpad) for past 4 years for our scouts. They take a beating, have great features and are not as pricey as you think. In all that I have purchased I only had 1 hard drive failure. Most get replaced because of rough handling because the displays get crushed... Their mid to upper line will handle all you mentioned and them some. I just bought a T500 with all you mentioned (250 gb drive) and 3GB memory for under $800. Most have a startup option for either Vista or XP Pro. Good luck! Regards,

I am interested in hearing what you recommend for a laptop these days. Here are some things I am looking for: bluetooth, large HD to accommodate loads of music, dual core processor, at least 2 gb mem, doesn't get hot (like a sony I had), good battery life, must be 100% compatible with XP Pro (Not like my HP tx1000 designed for Vista) TIA -- Jeff Jeff Johnson [email protected] SanDC, Inc. 623-582-0323 Fax 623-869-0675 [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/0b957900b2b8194d998a441195b6603838655b5...@drdsrv03.drdad.thenewarkarena.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
