I hope Win7 is far better than Vista (would not take much), but there are
concerns that I have. I read an article last night, which I should have
linked into ProFox (I will see if I can find it again), that advises that
Win7 with its "XP Mode" will not work with a lot of popular CPUs! At that,
it is not available on all (anticipated) flavors of Win7. But, I am
hopeful. Hey, if nothing else I could do with Win7 as I have with Vista -
run it under Virtual PC, or VMWare if Virtual PC has too many restrictions.

Oh, here is the link re: XP Mode and CPUs that can't support it (yet?) - as
well as a few other interesting links re: M$ dropping Vista like a hot
potato (like it did with Win ME in favor of the far more stable, and still
quite capable, Win2kPro/Server):

I wonder if M$ will offer credit toward an upgrade from Vista to Win7... I
do hope Win7 proves to be a solid OS that behaves well with humans. You
know, like 2000 or XP do/did.
