Hi Matt!

There is an Apache server on the Linux host OS on this box running World
VistA, an EMR program written in MUMPS, a language contemporary of CPM
if I understand correctly. I want The Great Satan to talk to that,
listen as well. Actually, I want to run a GUI front end for the World
VistA on Winders, because there aren't any for Linux.

I had been wondering about SAMBA, but the Linux Guruistas are saying
that SAMBA is a file sharing utility, not applicable in this situation.
This is my first time with a (forced) mixed marriage so I know nothing.

For what it's worth, there is another box on this router running Ubuntu
8.10. This machine can't see that one when it is running either. It
really can't see it when it is shut off.
