Samba provides a Linux implementation of SMB, SMB being what makes Windows shares work among other things. So it lets you see Windows shared printers and folders from a *nix environment. IIRC Ubuntu 9.04 has this installed and running anyway.
Have you installed the VirtualBox Guest Additions inside the W2K guest ? Also the usual things that might interfere such as firewalls and AV could be at play. -- Alan Bourke alanpbourke (at) fastmail (dot) fm _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
